Ambient jazz group from Germany. I realize this doesn't appeal to most of you, but it has a very dark, murky, low-pitched feel to it. The members are obviously fans of black and death metal music. So, I guess this one is for the metalheads, the jazz fans, and the electronic fans.
Black Earth is their fourth album, from the year 2002, ten years after they formed. It was released in the US on Mike Patton's label, Ipecac Records, so it got a lot of exposure from all sorts of subcultures. I actually heard about this album from a grindcore thread on some message boards.
